So for the past 6/8 months I have been experimenting with giving away 1 hour of my time a week in order to help others.
We started implementing a weekly free SEO Q&A called Humpday Hangouts (that you can access here) with Semantic Mastery and the results have been amazing (kudos to my partner Bradley for the idea here).
So I decided to copy the model and do the same but in the Spanish niche, to prove the concept once again.
And the results continue to amaze me.
On both cases, the signup rates have increased enormously and we have carved out an space in a heavily competitive industry (such as SEO training).
And the sales have multiplied, of course.
And this is only by dedicating 1 hour a week to give away our knowledge, our experience and the tools that give us results.
Full disclosure, this blog is also a way of giving back and my plan to increase the output from 2 hours to 5 hours a week.
And I'm planning to growing my podcast at some point too.
I've also seen the biggest marketers in the world doing this as well.
Where they give away tons and tons of value, feature the most prominent personalities in their space.
If they do it, why wouldn't we do it as well?
– How can you give back to your audience 1 hour a week?
In my case has been SEO Q&As via Google Hangouts.
And also writing valuable posts in groups and forums.
And sharing value with my list too.
I think the keyword here is “Give away”
Because we don't expect any results, thus they come nonetheless.
